We are a private not for profit entity with almost a twenty year history of leading the way for positive development, change and growth for retailers, residents, visitors and guests.
 

Vancouver's Downtown Association accomplishes much by its volunteer driven Board of Directors and membership that assist in various ways including three of its major committees: Design, Promotions, and Special Projects. Membership is invited to VDA's monthly board meeting and is eligible for nomination to the board. Quarterly meetings invite broader participation with subject matters that impact us all.

Downtown's Leader

Vancouver's greater downtown is changing as development expands to connect the physical areas of the Waterfront, Uptown, the Heart, and the Historic Reserve. Through its mission to make Vancouver's greater downtown a place to live, shop, work and play.  VDA tackles challenging topics that effect us all: safety concerns, parking issues and more-also changing to encompass this greater area.

VDA continues to conduct a variety of revitalization activities that strengthen our greater downtown community, including a facade improvement program, special events to draw more people to the area, supporting its districts in developing and maintaining their personal identity.

VDA has limited resources for funding. That is where your annual membership helps us to effectively support the programs, projects, and issues that have an impact on us all. Your membership comes back to you in the form of information, advocacy and other services that directly benefit the health of our greater downtown.
