About

Vancouver’s Downtown Association is a not-for-profit 501(c) (3).

Our mission is simple: We make good things happen in Downtown Vancouver. We have an active volunteer Board of Directors committed to invigorating Downtown Vancouver.

Incorporated in 1989, VDA continues to conduct a variety of revitalization activities that strengthen our greater downtown community.

VDA has many accomplishments under its belt from the new trees on Main Street to Spring Clean Up.  Learn more here.

Funding

Our annual membership dues and the Main Street Tax Incentive Program, as well as donations for the many programs and events downtown provide the funds needed to continue our efforts.

The Main Street Tax Incentive Program allows businesses who pay Washington State Business and Occupation Tax to donate to Vancouver’s Downtown Association and earn a 75% tax credit at the same time. This is an unprecedented way to move dollars from those who pay the tax directly into their local downtowns, essentially programming their donations for projects that will make a real difference.

Vancouver’s Downtown Association has been the only organization Statewide to participate to the fullest extent since the program’s inception. For more information about this program and how it can make good things happen in Vancouver’s downtown, contact Lee Rafferty, Executive Director at director@vdausa.org.

The following businesses are supporting Vancouver’s Downtown Association in 2009 through the Main Street Tax Credit Incentive Program:
Riverview Community Bank
Biggs Insurance
Schwabe Williamson and Wyatt
Phoenix Industrial
DSP Architecture
